Directions by car
Approaching from outside the area:
Oakamoor is easily accessible from the A52, A50 and A34 which link you to the M1, M6 and M42 motorways.
We lie to the North East of Cheadle on the B5417. As you enter the village you will find the Cricketers Arms turn down by the side of the Cricketers, then within 50 yards turn left and then turn IMMEDIATELY SHARP LEFT into Churnet View Road. The Beehive is 50 yards on the right.
Approaching from Alton Towers:
As you approach the Alton Towers exit, stay in the right hand exit lanes and go straight ahead. Carry on that road until you reach a crossroads where facing you is a Public House called ‘Ye Old Star’. Turn left towards Cheadle. As you enter Oakamoor, the Cricketers Arms will be on your right, turn down by the side of the Cricketers, then within 50 yards turn left and then turn IMMEDIATELY SHARP LEFT into Churnet View Road.
The Beehive is 50 yards on the right.
Travelling by train
When travelling by train the nearest train stations are Blythe Bridge, Stoke On Trent or Uttoxeter. You will need to take a taxi from the station to Oakamoor. If you would like the number of a local taxi please contact us.

Getting to/from Alton Towers
If you don’t want to drive, Ashbourne Community Transport runs a bookable bus service direct from The Beehive to Alton Towers at weekends and during Staffordshire school holidays. A return seat costs £4 per person. Please note, you must book your seat at least 24 hours in advance by phoning 01335 342 951.
